The community of Central Lake is surrounded by a large network of county and regional organizations who are dedicated to making sure every young child and parent are strong, empowered and thriving.
Antrim County Baby Pantry
Providing food, clothing and other needed items for infants through age 6.
CAPE-ACE Child Abuse Prevention and Education Council of Antrim, Charlevoix, & Emmet Counties
CAPE-ACE provides a variety of programs and resources for families and professionals including, but not limited to, sleep sacks for infants, car seat safety checks, body safety awareness books, and a variety of educational opportunities.
Charlevoix-Emmet Intermediate School District (Char-Em ISD)
The Char-Em ISD is a regional education service agency serving the public schools of Charlevoix, Emmet and northern Antrim counties. Char-Em ISD also provides Early On services to support to children from birth until age 3, who have health issues or developmental delays.
Community Connections
FREE program offering help with access to medical care, food, utilities and more. Offered by the Health Department of Northwest Michigan.
Father Fred
The Father Fred Foundation helps individuals and families with fresh, healthy food, clothing and household goods, and financial assistance, serving five local counties (Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau).

Good Samaritan Family Services
The Good Samaritan Family Services is a faith-based organization that supports local families through food, emergency and referral services as well as a Family Center and Mom & Tots support program.
Great Start Collaborative: Charlevoix, Emmet & Northern Antrim Counties
A regional organization made up of community leaders and organizations that have a vested interest in early childhood experiences and opportunities. The Great Start Collaborative is also a dedicated CLEO partner, bringing many resources directly to the families of Central Lake.

Great Start to Quality helps Michigan families find the best early learning settings for their children and helps educators improve the care they give to children.

The Women’s Resource Center provides services for residents of Central Lake and the surrounding region, including: advocacy, support services, therapy, safe home, etc.
